On the appointed day for the consultation, Dee and her alter ego loaded a small bag with several items she wanted to use in her portraits -- you can see most of them on the proof sheet pictures, if you haven't already seen them CLICK here.
She carefully planned the load in the bag so she could see the artist's reaction to the items as they were removed from the bag. Dee really did not want to cause grief for people who were so willing to help her out, so to speak.
On the top was the auburn wig, a bit longer than shoulder length, with the curls you see in the portraits. On the next layer was a red ribby long sleeved turtleneck from The Limited. Under this, a Victoria's Secret bra in a chiffon white, 36C, and silicone breast forms to fill it. The next layer was her real interest -- an ivory nylon chiffon jacket and under that an ivory Miracle Bra from Victoria's Secret, with a pair of extra push-up pads. She included some elegant accessories, as well. Dee's alter ego doesn't have pierced ears, but she brought a blue topaz tennis bracelet and earrings she borrowed from her SO (also known as her alter ego's wife).
It was evening, after work, when Dee's alter ego went to the mall for the consultation. The same receptionist was on duty, but the artist was temporarily busy. As she had been involved in the planning, her curiosity had her ask about the items in the bag, and that most difficult question to answer, "Why." Dee answered "I hope I'll be able to show this to my wife, and it will help her understand more about me."
As a side note, this has yet to happen, but someday -- hey, you never know.
When the artist was free, she and the receptionist got the tour of Dee's bag. The wig was the object of some oohs and a discussion of how Dee had selected the color, as it was a natural look with her green eyes. OK, time for clothes... the turtleneck was a winner -- but what about shape? The bra was next, with the forms right behind. That would be good... but the receptionist wanted to know more about the forms. After a close look and feel, she stepped behind a curtain and tried them herself, but decided her small frame wasn't right with the much larger forms' shape. She did like the smaller forms Dee was wearing (Amoena 36B forms with a hollowed back), which gave her a stunning look. She hadn't noticed that Dee had her alter ego wearing a bra and the smaller forms during this whole time, but the convesation led to this sharing of ideas and then he removed the smaller forms for her to try. The best part for her, she said, was they were so warm and lifelike!
The ivory jacket and bra (which shows in the portrait) was the last item for the show-and-tell session, and it was approved. Dee suggested that she also had a frilly-front blouse she'd like to use if possible, but what could they suggest for the fourth outfit? The ladies suggested that would be best decided after the makeup and wig were in place, as color and style would be easier to select then.
The receptionist reluctantly shrank a bra size and returned the forms to Dee's alter ego. "We're all set, then -- see you the day after tomorrow at 12:15!" she said as Dee's bag was repacked. "Are you sure that's a good time for you?" Dee asked the artist, and with a big smile, she answered, "Yes -- see you then!"
