On 11 May 2000 i became official Keeper of Dryden's Library in the Realm of Escaflowne Keepers. In keeping with being Keeper of His Library, i decided to start a catalogue containing recommended reads as well as the elusive, and highly esteemed, Dryden fanfiction. The shortlist of titles is below.

• Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett--a battered paperback copy lent to him sometime ago by Sarah-neko, who hasn't seen it since. But she steals all his National Gaeagraphics, so they're even.   ^_^
  Sarah-neko is also the author of Dryden and Sylvie, a unique and inspired Dryden fanfic, and At Long Last, a wonderful DxM story (NC-17).

• The Essential Rumi, translated by Coleman Barks with John Moyne. Rumi being Jalal Al-Din Rumi (also spelled Jalalu'l-Din Rumi or Jelaluddin Rumi). Dryden is particularly fond of the story on page 126.
  This is in fact a reference to Four Minutes by Didodikali. It is my favorite Dryden fanfic. Probably my favorite Esca fic of all. If you love Dryden as i do, read it. However, i feel a responsibility as Keeper of The Library to warn you that it is a lemon fic (NC-17).
  
  Yep, they have kissage. i have envy. {sigh}
  Didodikali has another fanfic featuring Dryden-samaaa! It's called Boys Will Be, and it's *such* fun. Wheee!!!

• A Ring, A Key and A Vow is by Sherline, who writes very elegant/genteel Esca fanfics--they make me think of really good Regency romances. i have a thing for those, and didn't Dryden become Regent himself upon marrying a certain Asturian princess whose name i have vowed never to mention in this shrine? ^_^

• Dryden and the love of M******* by SkullyCat Marie is a charming songfic in three parts, from Dryden's POV. Archived at this site with the kind permission of the author.

• Awwwrighty! Another Esca fanfic with some great Dryden love in it: An Odd Arrangement by Noelerin. From the POV of that girl whose name shall not be mentioned here, but i don't take that against it. ^.^

• Beginnings by Serena B is a beaut of a one-shot.

• Fate Works in Twisted Ways by Angel Swen is an unfinished fic i didn't think i would like, because it's yaoi (male x male), about Dryden and another Escaboy, whose identity i shall let you discover for yourself. When i finally did read it, i was very pleasantly surprised because it's clever and quite hilarious. If you do not object to yaoi, i suggest you check it out. And help me persuade the author to finish it, if you're of a mind. ^.^
