Sonnet 1
But even with closed eyes I see her face,
Her soft and supple curves are known to me,
Her sweetness still upon my lips I taste,
The peering eyes of blue in mine I see.
Her face so fair, it reigns above the sky,
If rose be red, her cheeks do glow as two,
Her smile alone, I need to happ'ly die,
A smile of grace from down the heavens blew.
Her beauty makes a flower bloom in spring,
Her love for me can blind my heart and soul,
With eyes half closed I see no other thing,
But when she moves, she makes me full and whole.
If I had walked upon some different way,
I'd walk alone in these cold winds this day.
