All updates for the month of February 2000.

02/29/00- 7:44 PM PST Well, it's the last day of the month (Leap Day) and that can mean only one thing (ok, more than one, but that sounded really cool) next time I update, this will be a clean new page. February goes into the archives. Here's some more important news: The old title graphic has been taken down and a new one will be going up in it's place. Stay tuned for a specific date. Oh yeah, and my Me page is now labeled DC-sama. (someone called me that online and I liked it.) Thanx Ruaki! ^_^ 02/28/00- 7:16 PM PST You probably already noticed the new background. Did you notice something that was missing? Yes, that's right, the flying dragon animation is gone. Don't fret, I still have it. I just moved it to the Animations section. The background may be a nice surprise, but it isn't the surprise I was talking about two days ago. I was actually going to have a new title graphic, but the file got screwed up and I deleted it(on purpose). The current one takes quite a while to load (even for me). I haven't truly ruined the surprise, you still don't know what it's going to look like. I may not even use Scott. Hey, don't forget to tell your friends about this site, I need more visitors. ^_^ 02/26/00- 10:01 PM PST Well I've finally gotten back into the swing of things. After quite a long time I have returned to writing my story. Episode 3 of The Teflon Sword now continues. No there aren't any dragon updates today, But very soon I will have a surprise for you people. Please read my story. I think it's pretty good, and I want you to tell me what you think about it. 02/25/00- 6:45 PM PST New Link. I now have a link to Sam & Max The Unofficial Website on my Links page. A new dragon has appeared in my Originals page. Yes, watching cartoons does have its uses. Now I feel I can attempt actual Fan Art. Also coming soon:(when I have the time and want to take it) I will create a page to showcase my favorite doodles/sketches from my Anime/Manga sketchbook.(which I can't seem to stop talking about) He..He... U^_^ 02/23/00- 3:25 PM PST I have some new images, not dragons though. I was just messing around with PhotoDelux a few weeks ago and I made some strange stuff. First of all I linked my Non-Dragon art page. to my Originals art page. there is now some CG art in there. Also I have created a new section. It's called Free Stuff. Right now there are a few backgrounds you can use as wallpaper or for your website. I thought they were pretty cool and that it would be nice to share. No links back to my page are necessary. I'll make more when I have the time. maybe even a few buttons and whatnot. That's all for now. ^_^ 02/22/00- 10:53 AM PST You may have noticed the new banner on my front page. It's hard to miss. Anyway, I got an e-mail yesterday that offered me a spot on a top 50 list, and that is the result. Please click on it. The same banner can also be found on my Links page. Some dragon news as well: I am very close to finishing my latest dragon drawing. It looks as if all those art classes have paid off. Now, if only I could actually get paid. Instead of bugging you people about my fascination with the new Clerks cartoon, I have created a new page for that. So if you like hearing about that, go to my Fan Site. The next update will include dragons. 02/12/00- 9:38 PM PST Ok I know it's hardly an update, but I promised I would update. The Links page has a few more links. Sorry I don't have anything else for you. Give me some time and I will produce something. That is all. 11:10 AM PST Just Poppin' in here. I am aware of the lack of updates. I promise the next time I come in here, there will be updates. Anyway, Some Other News: San Francisco was great. I love it there. The trip was with my mother(who is a HS teacher) and a group of her students.(On a charter bus no less) After a tour (and fantastic lunch) of the California Culinary Acadamy(Great place to learn to become a Chef) we took a public bus over to Pier 39. I was off on my own.(I have no problem with that.)I went over to Underwater World (Really cool place, you go in these tubes and the fish swim over your head) bought some usual keychains, and a cheap little replica of the Golden Gate Bridge. When I met back up with the students, I noticed that one of them had bought one of those light up Yo-yos.(How could I not, it was dark.) She let me try it out, and, thanks to her suggestion, I have finally gotten a yo-yo to come back to my hand.(Now I must get a light up yo-yo for myself) After dinner, and a four hour sleep-on-the-bus trip back home, my mom gave me this cute plush dragon that she bought for me. A perfecet ending to a perfect day. 02/09/00- 7:04 PM PST Oops! My mistake! I went back to Newsaskew And found the actual Offical Clerks: TCS website, nothing there yet.(you should see the under construction animated gif, it's a crack up.) Ok, sorry 'bout the Clerks insanity O' mine. Links page has been adjusted accordingly. 5:45 PM PST Still laking an update. But I have a little news. I finally got the rebate from my scanner. Woo-hoo! Money! (I thought it was important to mention, it is semi-site related) I think I want to put it in the bank, I'm not sure. A little more news: Tomorrow, I'm going to San Francisco, so if I'm online at all it will be very late. I hope to come home to a message about a job.(When I'm not online or sleeping, I go out to look for a job.) I need money and I want to keep my car. Sorry 'bout the useless info there. Oh yeah, can't wait till March.(CTCS airs on ABC)sorry again. 1:53 PM PST I'm back. And don't worry, I don't have a rant today. Again, no updates, just a little news. I went out to see if there were any fansites for the new Clerks cartoon show. Didn't find any. (rats!) nothing. So in the future I may devote a section of the museum to the show. I did find the Official site which I will be putting on my links page. So far there are going to be six episodes, and from what I read about each episode(official site has episode guides), it's going to be hilarious. Everyone who was in Clerks will be doing the voices of the characters they played. Anyway, that's all I've got for now. Ja na! ^_~ 02/05/00- 7:21 PM PST Ok, this isn't an update. It's a full out rant. Today, I went to the movies. Seemed like a good idea, I hadn't gone in a while. I went and saw Sinbad: Beond the Vail of Mists, A 3D computer animated movie (not worth being called a film). Boy, was this a stinker. The worst film I've ever seen since Cabin Boy.(walked into an empty theater, but that's another story) First of all the writing was terrible. Who wrote it?! The programers? It felt like some lines were missing. Second, Continuity was bad, to put it mildly. Two example that present themselves right off: In one shot there are two, very flat looking, guards standing by a pair of stairways, and in the next shot, which is a different angle on the same scene, those guards are gone. The other scene shows a character being thrown into a dungeon. We see the door being locked, showing the keyhole on the left, a few seconds later,when we see the door for the second time, the lock is on the right. When we see the door again, it's back on the left. I don't think the people who made this were finished. A few shots look as if they need to be cleaned up. This movie (ugh, I don't even want to call it that) was dead. I was constantly fighting the urge to get up and leave, but I felt it was necessary to stay to the end. For an animation fanatic like me, these things are important. I need to see both the good and the bad. Some more bad stuff,(this I tried to ignore, but gave up) The fingers, and a few other body parts(the king's head for example) kept passing through objects. There were a whole lot of jump cuts(a jump cut is a cut between to scenes that are the exact same shot very shortly after one another). Now I took an Animation Course(including 3D computer animation) I know that it takes a long time to make (mostly rendering time). When you have films out there like Toy Story 2(still in theaters I might add),Sinbad just won't cut it. (I give it a week) There are a few, so very few, good things about this. The worlds were incredible. Very much like Myst. The under water world was very cool.(I wish we could have seen more of it.) The water was beautifully rendered.(except when they showed shots of real water in the background, that was cheap) The Monsters and fish people were the best part ov the whole thing. I felt sorry for them when the monsters were killed. Maybe not for the squid(excuse me, uh tentacles) I felt nothing for the main characters.(I wish they would have died instead.) I will not hold this against the Voice Actors(Brendon Fraiser, Leonard Nemoy, and Mark Hamill to name a few), it's not their fault this movie stinks. This movie is all about "Look what we can do". The creators need a few Film classes. If you want to save $5 to $8 don't see this movie. And that is the end of my rant, thank you. 02/04/00- 4:57 PM PST As Promised, a new drawing can be seen on the Original artwork page. You just have to see it. Anyway, gotta go, DBZ is on. 10:10 AM PST I have changed the way prizes will be awarded in Scott's Coloring Contest A simple award just won't do. Also I will have some new artwork later today, so I haven't broken my promise. 02/03/00- 5:41 PM PST Clerks! Ok I know it's unrelated to this site but I have learned that the Clerks cartoon show is coming out in March. There was a teaser aired before the SuperBowl(I was not watching TV at the time I guess) Anyway you can download the teaser at View Askew. I'm going to become an avid fan (looks as if DBZ will become #2) That is all. The next day that I update will have some artwork I promise.(Hold me to that) See ya! ^_^ 11:01 AM PST A little News. Just checked my E-mail and it looks as if at least one person checked out the Coloring Contest page. And I'd like to thank princess2@grabasite.com for attempting to offend me (Rule#2: It must not be offensive) with a pornographic e-mail (I did not foward it because I don't like fowarding) I was hoping the link was a picture and not just a site(oh well). The E-mail was a crack up, thank you.:P 02/02/00- 4:30 PM PST Added a new Non-dragon link to my Links Page. Ts'all! 11:07 AM PST I wasn't planning on doing any updates today, but this was very important. Apparently my guestbook wasn't working (I was unaware). I wanted to change it's appearence and that's how I found out. Geocities changed their guestbooks without notice. I don't really care about that right now because I'm happy I discovered the problem. I was wondering why noone was signing it. Anyway now it's fixed and you can sign away. (All previous entries have been deleted, sorry) I've also decided to add the time to my updates section. That's it for now.~_^ 02/01/00- Brand new Month of updates starting here. First I did a little tweaking of my "ME" page. Second I changed the picture in the Coloring Contest by one green pixel. hardly perceptable. And I have a little award thingy on my awards page.(I gave it to myself and I can give it to you) that seems to be it for now. Bye. ^_^
