My Biography
I grew up in Easley, S.C., near Greenville, with four older brothers. I survived childhood and graduated from Easley High School in 1987.
In 1991, I received my bachelor's degree in history and drama from Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. While at Queens, I initiated Kappa Delta Sorority, chaired the religious life committee, sat on S.G.A., joined the Young Republicans, sat as secretary on Honor Council, and participated in many other clubs and organizations.
For four years I pursued an acting career in New York, Philadelphia, and New Jersey and worked many piddly, dead-end jobs.
I earned my tour guide license in Charleston and gave walking tours. May, 2005, I will graduate with a master's degree in American history from the joint master's program at The Citadel and the University of Charleston.
I also intend on doing my part to make sure that come November 5, 2002, Mark Sanford is elected governor and that U.S. Representative Lindsey Graham is elected U.S. Senator, replacing retiring Senator Strom Thurmond.
Update
January, 2003
Both said candidates won their races, by the way, and I take full credit!
Recently, I worked in sound design and production specializing in symphonic and theatrical sound. Now, I freelance as a stagehand while looking for full-time work.
June, 2003
It's Spoleto time! Yay! I was working as a bartender at Joe Pasta (bleh), but not anymore. At the end of June I am moving to another apartment/house downtown (I don't know where, yet.), but my e-mail address will stay the same. Hopefully, I can keep the same telephone number and no, I don't have a cell phone. Be on the lookout for a cool housemate and a cool job for me.
December, 2003
In July I bought a cell phone (270-5221) and in August I moved into another house (252-A Rutledge Avenue) with a roommate. In September I got a job tending bar at a new bar/restaurant on King St. (Mad Dog Saloon) in the second old Capone's. It closed eleven weeks later. I am still working as a freelance stagehand and bartender and looking for full-time work. I don't have the Internet at home anymore, so I seldom, nay, rarely, check my e-mail at the library and I don't use my AOL account anymore. You can reach me at duffy91@yahoo.com or (843) 270-5221. Sooooooo, write or call and catch up!
