This section is for information on products like boardgames, computer games and anything else that doesn't quite fit in anywhere else but could be of interest to samurai gamers.

Shogun - Total War. Computer game of samurai warfare. Now available at budget prices. Look for the Warlord edition.

Samurai Swords (aka Shogun). Follow link to get information and photos of this strategic level board game from Milton Bradley.

Samurai. Old Avalon Hill strategic board game. I have this game and dig it out every so often. Fairly simple game and good fun with lots of random factors to keep everyone on their toes. Nice map board but very drab counters. Best played with 4 backstabbing players! Follow link for more info and photos.

Samurai. GMT's tactical boardgame featuring 6 battles; Okehazama, Kawanakajima, The Anegawa, Mikata-ga-hara, Nagashino and Sekigahara. Nice components but fairly complex game.

The Legend of the Five Rings. Trading card game and role playing game set in the world of Rogukan. Samurai meets fantasy.

Clan Wars. Miniatures game based on The Legend of the Five Rings.

Sengoku. Role Playing Game set in...you guessed it...Feudal Japan. Some very useful resources on this web site even if you don't play the game. Check out the Game Support section for maps and an excellent glossary.

Army Builder. PC software tool for constructing army rosters with points based rules. Data files are available for Taiko! and Warhammer Ancient Battle (including the Samurai list from the Armies of Antiquity supplement).

Vae Victis Magazine. French wargames magazine with a boardgame in each issue. Japanese Invasion of Korea, 1592 is the game in issue 53.

Samurai Blades: On Deadly Ground. Freeware computer version of the turn based tactical wargame Samurai Blades originally by Standard Games and Publications. Requires Windows XP.
