Magic is one of the most powerful tools available to you in MTD. Weapons are great, but nothing produces damage faster and more reliably than a good magic spell. Without magic, you will have a very difficult time succeeding.
Generals
Spells have to be learned from scrolls. When reading such a scroll, be able to activate the specific spell. How well you are able to do this depends on your Magic lore skill.
It is also possible to cast a spell from a spellbook if you already
have learned the particular spell. Doing so costs quintuple the amount of power points usually required and does not reduce your current spell knowledge
Magic is broken down into 11 schools : Fire, Water, Tree, Gold, Earth, Moon, Sun, Summon, Black, Ancient, and Legend.
A magic have positive and negative characteristics for each; Fire magic is positive to Gold magic, but negative to Tree magic, it means if you cast a Fire-based-attack-magic to monster who is under Tree-based- shield-magic, its power will be higher. However, it will be less effective if you cast Fire-bases-attack-magic to monster who is under Gold-based-shield-magic.
So, if a monster who use Fire attack magic, it will be better way to decrease his magic attack by cast a Gold-based-shield magic.

Each spell has 7 different and 3 hidden levels(Set, Special, Secret magic). When you first learn a spell, you know it at level one. When you learn that spell at level higher, it costs much more MP but it has a stronger effect.
Do Like an Item Window; To prepare a magic you want to cast, click the dropdown box and choose one. But some magic can't cast because your lore skill is lower than its difficulty.

All Magic has different purpose to do. All Magic is broken down into Attack and Defend Magic in each school
Attack Magic
There are two kinds.
Normal : you can cast a normal attack at once, it can give different damage(it depends on the damage of the magic, your Magic skill of magic school, ManaC, Intensity, Frequency skill.
(ex> Burning Finger in Fire magic, 1st lvl)
Deases : you can cast this attack at once, it can effect the targets until effect time is expired. It can give different damage(it depends on the damage and effect time of magic , your Magic skill of magic school, ManaC, Intensity, Frequency skill.
(ex> Burn Skin in Fire magic, 5th lvl)
Defend Magic
There are 6 kinds.
Shield (S): Create a Magical shield around you, it will reduce or remove monsters attack
(ex> Fire Shield in Fire Magic, 1st lvl)
Effect Temporary (ET): To create, change or remove something until the effect time is expired.
(ex> Light in Fire Magic, 1st lvl)
Effect Permanent (EP): To create, change or remove something permanently.
(ex> Unlock Fire Magic I in Fire Magic, 1st lvl)
Enhance (E): Enhance the skills of avatar and keep until the effect time is expired.
(ex> Enhance Body Skill in Fire Magic, 2nd lvl)
Cure Hit (CH):
Cure the skills of avatar permanently but can't increase over avatar's fixed skill value. For example, Suppose you get 12 points on Str at lvl 2 and 5 point on Str now by somewhat damage, you can't increase over 12 on Str even cast any magic in class of Cure Hit.

Cure Deases (CD): Cure Deases which you effect
