Alrighty then... AX2000 Karaoke Coverage came up one week after AX ended... and AX2001 is not far behind coming out only SIX MONTHS after AX ended ^^'' Gomen ne minna :b But after much dithering and saving... I have finally replaced my dead video capture card and am back in business. Hey, at least it'll be here for people to see when the next AX rolls around. But let's get on with the coverage...

Condensed history:

Eventually I plan to have a history and FAQ page up on the "front" page, but until then this will have to do :b The karaoke contest has been around for 4 years now (I hear that there was an earlier one back in the hey days, but I don't know any AX veterans from that far back... :b) AX98 Karaoke was headed by Luke Gottlieb... he's the semi-finals and finals MC, so you'll see him later on in the coverage. AX99, AX00, AX01, and presummable AX02, is headed by these two guys...

Preliminary Round:
  • Dom! (of MegaTokyo fame), "Naveed" (AX00 Group Winner), Tommy Pedrini, Evelyn and Tanzy (co-creator of web comic Strange Candy)

    Semi-Finals/Finals:
  • "Athena" (the other half of AX00 Group Winner), Yaya Han (AX00 Individual Winner), Tommy Pedrini (as Goth Rinoa), Evelyn, and Priscilla (there was an AX staffer after all :b)

    And whoever else helped out (particularly):
  • Yaya Han, the gifted singer, artist, cosplayer, who designed that lovely AX2001 Karaoke Contest pin, which I stole for this year's logo ^^''
  • "Athena" and "Naveed", for helping me run the camera so I didn't get as sore a shoulder as last year...
  • ...and their two cousins, Matt & David, who had the mis-fortune to be drafted to chase down each contestant with my information questionnaires...
