A Damn Long Drive
The day was long, as was the drive. Our only consolation was the
beautiful scenery. I took a lot of photos but I will only show a few here-
you'll have to make the drive yourself some time for the full
benefit.

Here is How and I by the San Francisco Coast.

There are dozens of beautiful bays like this one, it is a remarkable place in
that if you ever want a beach all to yourself all you need to do is pull the car
over and walk down to the sand.

At a beach by the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, a colony of Elephant Seals was
beached to breed. How and I taunted the seals to no end, calling them fat
and lazy, yet we were unable to elicit a response from the beasts.

We reached "big rock" outside of Malibu around 7:30 at night and
took a few pictures of the sun setting.

How took this picture, of which he was very proud and demanded it be
displayed on the web site. We arrived in Los Angeles around 9:00 which was
a problem because we had dinner reservations at Spago at 9:30. We checked
in to the hotel and changed as quickly as possible. We were less than
impressed with Spago though a few drinks went a long way in improving its
appeal. Overall the place is a lot more than it is cracked up to be but it
is still a decent restaurant. We ogled the window display of a Ferrari
dealership and drove Sunset before calling it a night.
