'St.Mary Mags', as it is affectionately known, is the old parish church in Billericay High Street. The congregation out-grew the building in the 1980s, and so moved to the new, purpose-built Emmanuel church, just to the South in Laindon Road, by Sun Corner. All Sunday services in what was St.Mary Magdalen's parish now take place at Emmanuel. St.Mary Magdalen's is still a place of prayer and worship during the week. The church is open for private prayer most days, and you are particularly welcome to join others for prayer on Mondays from 11am to 2pm. There is also a Team Communion service every Wednesday at 10am. The is a regular programme of concerts and events.
