What happened to the generation
Of student riots, demonstrations,
Political causes and hope for the future?
What happened to student idealism?

Those students aged, settled down
And their children -
Well, there is nothing to protest about!
Stick in at work and at play,
Think of your career,
Don't damage it with politics
(Especially if you want to go into politics)
Stay safe, don't risk it
Let people do as they like.

Why am I here in this generation?
Striving to make them see
We are the future
We are the hope
We could (try) to change the world
If only we all acted.

But they won't act.
Rather the whole world rot
Than they harm their future careers.
