To assist our students with the current economical conditions we have listened to your requests and developed a brand new 6 month General FAT mentorship & internship program. This amazing new program offers all the services of the 9 month General FAT mentorship program. There is also a stronger focus on environmental consulting for those interested in pursuing a career in this field. Even if environmental consulting is not your career focus this amazing new program will provide certifications in the new and upgraded Ecological Land Classfication (ELC), Wetland studies.
6 month General FAT mentorship & internship program - approximately 240 hours to complete: Fee = $9000.00 CAD
Learn the practical applications of classifying terrestrial systems (ie. coniferous & deciduous forests and swamps) as well as scoring aquatic/wetland systems (fens, bogs, marshes and swamps) using the new and revised ELC methodology and Wetland studies. You will work on real projects conducting field work and collecting real data for reports which must be submitted to partner organizations and stakeholders. By the close of this program you may apply to contracts available on these projects which may include;
Biological inventories of natural areas (terrestrial or aquatic/wetland)
Work with field crews
