How do I check in? When you enter the Aquatic Center, stop by the front desk. You will either be asked to tell your name or to sign-in in the book. This ensures that only registered clients have access to the facility.
What do I do with my valuables? There are no lockers available in the dressing rooms. Wallets, purses, keys, etc., may be left with the front desk. Easter Seals cannot be responsible for items lost from the dressing rooms.
May I bring a guest? We encourage you to bring youer friends and loved ones to the pool. They will need to sign a temporary liability waiver at the front desk and pay the $4.00 guest fee. Non-clients who are residents of Lane County are limited to two visits per month.
Will I get a follow-up after my initial intake? Yes. We will contact you approximately six weeks after your initial appointment for a brief check-up on your progress so far. We'd like to know if your program is working for you or not, so that we can better meet your exercise goals.
How long are my forms valid? The medical form is good for two years from the doctors date of signing. Each client must have a signed physician's authorization prior to pool use. If your medical form or let the front desk know of any changes in your medical history, emergency contacts, physician, address, phone number of medications.
Does the schedule change? The program schedule changes approximately four times a year. Current dchedules are available at the front desk or on-line. The dates that the schedule is effective are at the top of each schedule. Scheduled closures are also published on the program schedule. Be sure you have a current schedule. In the event of hazardous weather, the Aquatic Center will follow School District 4-J in making closure decisions.
What is Family Swim? Family swim is a participatory activity for clients and their families and children in swimming lessons and their families. Family swims are on Wednesday and Friday nights 6:00-7:30 pm. Parents must accompany children in the pool. The cost for Family Swim is $5.00 for 1 to 5 people for currently registered clients or children currently registered in Swimming Lessons and thir families. For non-Easter Seals clients, or families not currently enrolled in Swimming Lessons, the cost is $7.00. Please note, Respite and Recreation, an Easter Seals program for children with disabilities and their families, will join Family Swim every second Friday of each month.
What are the General Pool Rules? 1. Keep conversations low during classes so that others may hear instructor's directions. 2. Return any equipment you use to its storage bin or rack if you are able, or request assistance from the lifeguard or instructor. 3. Refrain from using perfumes, scented lotions or powders so that others may breathe. Many people have allergies and respratory problems that are sensitive to strong scents. 4. Disposable diapers are not allowed in the pool or spa. Tight-fitting plastic pants inder a swimsuit are required for those lacking bladder control. People with incontinence may not use the pool or spa. 5. The blue wall at the edge of the wheelchair ramp, and the divider between the pool and spa are not weight-bearing walls and is not meant for sitting, standing or crossing over. 6. The gates between the dressing rooms and the pool deck will be kept closed during times when the pool is not in use. These gates must only be opened by aquatics staff or in the event of an emergency. Swimmers are only allowed on the pool deck or in the pool under direct supervision of aquatics staff. 7. Please use the stairs to enter and exit the spa.
