Are children allowed to use the pool? Only children with completed forms will be allowed to participate during classes. All those under the age of 14 are required to be accompanied by an adult.
What is the proper attire for the pool? Swimming suits or lycra wear are suggested for clients and attendants. T-shirts and shorts are allowed but must not be ragged or the "cut-off" type. Pool slippers or shoes are recommended to prevent slipping. Pool shoes must be clean and only worn in the pool environment.
How early can I get in the pool? There are times on the schedule when you are permitted to get in ten minutes before your class si scheduled to start. This is not possible at opening or immediately following swimming lessons or a few other class times on the schedule. As always, ask a staff member if you have a question about the time that you attend the pool. If you do get in early, please stay out of the way of the class or program that is finishing. Stay in the shallow end near the wall to allow the other participants their full pool time and space.
What happens in an emergency? In the event of an emergency, you will be given instructions by aquatics center staff. You may be asked to get out of the pool and return to the dressing or to evacuate the building. Please follow these instructions so that the emergency may be handled in the most effective, timely way. Aquatics Center staff are certified lifeguards with CPR and First Aid training.
What is the Annual Registration Fee? The Annual Registration Fee is $40.00 and registers you as a client of Easter Seals. This fee is renewed every January. During your first year, this fee is pro-rated to reflect only the part of the year that you use the pool. Punch cards do not expire and may be used from year to year as long as the Annual Fee is up to date.
What if I have a problem or concern? At Easter Seals, our number one priority is to serve you and this means listening at all times. If you have a suggestion that doesn't need a personal response, there is a suggestion box in the lobby for your use. We also welcome letters of your ideas and concerns. All letters will receive at least a personal, written response. In any situation, we want to take care of you quickly, efficiently and with a smile.
