The
Easton High Marching Band
Marching Band meets Monday and Thursday
nights from 6 to 8.
They play at home football games and a
Christmas Concert.

Marching
Band is the only class within the band program in which students
are allowed to participate on an extracurricular basis. It is VERY
important that each student, in the class or not, make
every practice and perform at every football game. In the
past, students who took the class as an extra-curricular activity
received credit for the class towards band awards. Because of poor
attendance of rehearsals and performances, students who participate
e.c. must make 90 % of rehearsals and ALL of the football games
in order for the class to be counted towards their band awards.
Townspeople are welcome to join if there is space in the band.
Football
Games
All
band members are expected to be at school on the day of a home game
no later than 5:00. At 5:30, the band will eat together at the pre-game
cookout. At 6:00, uniforms will be distributed and by 6:15 students
are to be dressed and then ready to play by 6:30 for warm up. It
is very important to remember that all performances are SUMMATIVE
grades. If an absence is not legally excused, it will be recorded
as a zero in the grade book.
There
are many things that need to be done to get the band ready and on
the field for a performance. Parent volunteers are needed to help
carry instruments, get uniforms passed out, help with the cookout,
help keep order before practice begins, and mark off seating in
the stands for the band. We need your help! The students have worked
hard for these performances, so come and enjoy seeing what your
child has accomplished.
Please
see "Uniforms" link at left for more information.
Band
Booster meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at
7. This date will be changed if there is a conflict with major
school events, holidays, inclement weather. See the calendar for
details.
Please
call the band office at 819-0257, ex 131 if you have questions
about a meeting.
