Presley's 1998 Christmas Reunion

epb1937@scrtc.com

Mama and Papa have been
Gone beyond 27 years.
Today, December 6, 1998, there met
Seven of their eight living dears.

There was Eloise with her
Son, David, and daughter, Ruth Ann.
As they came each
Was carrying food in a basket or pan.

We met at the residence
Of Ruth and her spouse.
The Christmas decorations were all
Hung throughout their house.

Dorothy came with her son,
Marty, and daughter, Martha Mae.
They were laughing and toting in
The food with many words to say.

Alline came with her spouse
And kettle of baked beans
While relating to other memories
Of former family scenes.

Paul was unable
The reunion to attend;
But his son, Norman, was there
Expressing love to his kin.

Berladean came with her spouse
And son, Larry.
She appeared laughing
And her mood was merry.

George was there with
His spouse and box of KFC
As they had to come
The greatest distance, you see.

Edith entered the scene
With a fruit and vegetable tray
Bringing family poetry to share
On this special reunion day.

The six sisters
And brother, George,
Had an enjoyable day
While the food they did engorge.

After a few hours of togetherness
And stories that all did reminisce,
It was time to say good-bye
And give each other a hug and kiss.
