What are the main projects of KIWIN'S

Throughout the year, KIWIN'S has certain projects that fall into different categories, and often service projects are designed to conform and fit these themes.

Major Emphasis Project - The KIWIN'S District major emphasis project is in conjunction with the major emphasis of Key Club International, "Children: Their Future, Our Focus."

Minor Emphasis Project- The KIWIN'S Minor Emphasis Project is Pediatric Trauma Prevention, otherwise known as PTP. This project was established in 1992 and is completed in conjunction with Cal-Nev-Ha Kiwanis. PTP affects children from birth until 18 years of age. PTP is the result of motor vehicle accidents, physical abuse, drowning accidents, falls, and animal bites, making it the leading cause of death of children in the United States. Every year millions of children visit emergency rooms for reasons that could have easily been avoided. In order to prevent such accidents from occuring, KIWIN'S is dedicated to educating and raising the general awareness of the people in their community about Pediatric Trauma Prevention.
