A New Education.. Where do we begin?

help the little ones you have to help the big ones"

We
want a new education, more human, where the child grows and develops
in harmony. A System which adapts and evolves according to the Child's
needs. The Children learn mainly by imitating, our example is essential.
Each and every one of us is the result of the education which we have
received and it is unusual to find a person who doesn't suffer or
hasn't suffered the consequences of that education. We find ourselves
immersed in a search, in which, to advance we have to clean many of
the things we have acquired in this life. Wouldn't it be more practical
not to dirty them in the first place so that later we wouldn't have
to clean them?
If we have to preach using our example, the first thing we must do
is take a look at ourselves and the educational guidelines engraved
on our being. We were educated with a system based on tradition and
custom, which isn't synonymous with common sense. We can't say this
has been wrong as it has got us to be where we are now. The majority
of our parents did the best they could, they brought us up in the
same way as they were brought up. Now we have tools at our disposal
to offer the children something different, it's up to us the way we
use them. Now we look at many of the social guidelines as if we had
just arrived on the planet and we see that logic very often doesn't
exist. "You can't drink alcohol until you are a certain age" "You
can't smoke until you are a certain age" says the parent to the child
with a beer in hand and smoking a cigarette.
We are transmitting to the child the message that you can only do
certain things when you are a certain age, we are creating hierarchies
which later we reproduce in all levels of society. We must start to
use our logic and not what is customary.
