These butterflies are examples of Stump work. The butterfly wings are embroidered separately and then attached to the body.

The Field Mouse, the Robins and the Kingfisher are all examples of Thread Painting.

This piece shows another aspect of stumpwork. The padding gives the raised effect. This is a round robin, that will eventually circumnavigate the world, before coming back to me. I am going to use it as the cover to my 2001 journal, as there are so many things happening this year that I will want to remember and treasure for years to come.

This is my contribution to a Round Robin that will go to someone in Australia.
