1. How were the international chapters of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI established? The first overseas chapter of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI was established in Hong Kong in 1988. It started with a group of seven Filipino prayer-partners conducting a prayer-meeting in a gymnasium in Hong Kong and drawing thirty persons. This group increased in number as the years passed. At its 9th anniversary held at the Hong Kong Stadium in November 1997, approximately forty thousand people attended the affair. From 1989 to 1991, other chapters were established in Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Japan, Oman, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and USA. These were formed by Filipino prayer-partners working abroad motivated by the desire to bear witness |

2. Where does the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI draw its funds or resources? In the early years of this ministry, its main source of funds came from the tithes and the miracle-seed-of-faith offerings of my real estate business and other companies. Since I learned about God's promises on giving of tithes and miracle-seed-of-faith offerings and put these principles into practice, God has been working financial miracles in my life and blessed me tremendously. In my desire that people may also be blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ and experience financial freedom and prosperity, I always boldly share in my preaching about the principle of giving of tithe and seed-of-faith offering. Tithe is the ten percent (10%) or one-tenth portion of our blessings or income which we receive from our job or business. We set this aside in support of the work of God. In Malachi 3:10, God said, "‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." Seed-of-faith offering, on the other hand, is the giving of something out of our needs to a servant of God or His instrument for a specific purpose. It is similar to the "handful of flour and a little oil" that the widow and her son gave to Prophet Elijah during a famine in Israel. Though that was their last meal, when the widow offered it to the prophet in obedience to the Word of the Lord, it became her seed-of-faith offering. The Lord saw the woman's faith and a miracle happened: her "jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the Word of the Lord spoken by Elijah" (1 Kings 17:8-16). Like a seed which bears a hundredfold when planted, whatever seed-of-faith offering we give to God, He will return to us the blessings a thousand fold according to His promises. Now, prayer-partners continue to be faithful in voluntarily giving their tithes and seed-of-faith offerings to the Lord through this community because they have learned and proved to themselves that as they give, He returns the blessings "a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over" (Luke 6:38). There are also some who voluntarily give their love-offering, which could be their time, talent, and a part of their blessings, for the work of the Lord. It is a sign of their gratitude to the Lord for all the spiritual and material blessings that they receive from Him everyday, and an acknowledgement of His Lordship and Divine Providence (Genesis 8:20-22). 3. Where do the collection of tithes and offerings of the members and followers of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI go? The funds of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI are being used in the expenditures of the following: A.
Our fellowships such as the weekly Family Appointment with El Shaddai held
at the PICC-CCP Grounds or at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park or
wherever the Lord leads us to celebrate; our Tuesday fellowships at the
Cuneta Astrodome or at the Rizal Baseball Stadium; our daily fellowships
at our main office in Amorsolo; diocesan rallies in different provinces;
and some special Mass and healing rallies abroad. 4. Does the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI offer social services? Yes, the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI offers its members and followers, especially the poor ones, the following social services: A.
Medical and Dental services such as free medical consultations, and
laboratory examinations and optical and dental services for a minimal fee.
These are given through its Medical-Dental Clinic which is being supported
benevolently by its pool of volunteer medical-dental doctors and
personnel. The Clinic is a fruit of the tithes, miracle-seed-of-faith
offerings and love-offerings or donations of its members and followers.
Medicines are available at its pharmacy at factory prices. PART IV: The EL SHADDAI DWXI-PPFI IN THE NEw MILLENNIUM 1. How do you foresee the future of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI in the new millennium? Despite the tremendous growth of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI, there is still much work to do. In this light, I have envisioned that an El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI prayer-meeting will be conducted in every parish in all parts of the Philippines—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. If we come to know God in spirit and in truth, repent of all our sins, turn away from our wicked ways, and accept in our hearts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, peace and unity will reign in our hearts and minds. If this happens, peace and unity will prevail in our homes. And from our homes, this will spread to our communities, and to our entire nation. Thus, not too long from now, a significant change will prevail in the Philippines. This is what the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI "FLU"—Faith, Love and Unity—is all about! |
