Today has been a very angry day for me, so to snap myself out of it (oh, if it were only that simple), I'm going to make a list of things that I love about summer:
- the soft, rich green grass in the city parks
- making clover blossom crowns so I can be Titania, Queen of the Faeries
- the smell of pine needles in Muskoka
- the shiny, shiny sun
- being able to look at the stars at night and not freeze to death
- Starbucks iced drinks
- hammocks, and reading in them
- driving around with my arm out the window and music blasting away
- being able to show off my fancy t-shirts without the usual cardigan on top
- flip flops in exciting new colours
- hearing a loon on Gibson Lake
- watching old Italian men play bacci ball in the park near my house
- how my dad acts like a macho man when he barbeques
- listening to the rain on the cottage roof late at night
- those soft, cool summer days when you get to wear shorts and a sweater

Everything else about summer I hate hate hate. Okay, so that didn't work at all in fixing my mood. But now you know that I do like some things about the present season, despite any of the bitching I might (and most likely will/have/always and currently) do.
