When I was just a little ball of fur, I think about 8 weeks old, some nasty people took me to a place called an Arboretum and dumped me over the fence.
I guess they thought, being a cat, maybe I'd like my freedom
and this would be a good place to grow up. It had
beautiful gardens and lots of places to explore --
but I was pretty scared there.
They also had these huge birds (bigger than me) called
peacocks, and men with real loud toys that would
scare me a lot.
I would have to hide out a lot, and found a nice cozy bush to sleep in. But most of the time, I just worried about staying alive.
Then these nice people in a building near my bush, started putting food and water out for me. I'd sneak up when no one was looking and get it. I found out later, that my mom, "Otter", was one of them!! But I was still really afraid of all of them.
One day, I decided to let her pick me up and it felt good. I even started making these funny sounds like a motor and the more I did that, the nicer she was.
