Meet Mo, the Manatee from Oviedo, FL!

Hi! I am Mo the Manatee from Lawton Elementary. Our school is one block
from the downtown of the small country community of Oviedo on the outskirts
of Orlando, Florida. We have chickens and roosters that ramble around Oviedo
and sometimes they come to visit at our school. Our school of almost 1,000
goes from kindergarten through 5th grade. Every Fall in November a craft
festival is held in our school yard called Great Day in the Country.
Mo is a member of Mrs. Butterfield's Kindergarten class. There are 23
students in our class. We have fun each day as we spend time exploring
activities at our tables, go to circle time, do our language arts work and
then go outside and play in the beautiful Florida sunshine. Then we go to
lunch, read together, rotate each day to a special area, rest for a bit, eat
a snack and then have lots of fun learning at center time.
