Here are a few of my favorite photos from my travels!
Here I am in Mrs. Butterfield's Class. Mrs. Butterfield and the kids are making plans for me.
This is my last day in Mrs. Butterfield's Class for a while. I am preparing to leave for Texas. I am glad to be back in school after the hurricane.
I enjoyed watching the Knezek Clowns make applesauce, measure and weigh
apples, and learn apple poems. Our favorite poem is:
Two Little Apples
Way up high in the apple tree,
Two little apples smiled at me.
I shook that tree as hard as I could;
Down came the apples.....
MMMmmm they were good!
.
We write in our journals three days a week. I am watching one of our
students write a story about Manatees. I can hardly wait to see how she
illustrates her special Manatee story!
I love to look at our neat classroom pets. These fish are made from glass
and they float from glass balls. I seem to think they are real....I feel
right at home! I miss seeing the water I am used to seeing in Florida!
We have had a great time learning so much about manatees in our class. The kids
hope to see a real manatee someday!
I am helping Miss Lankford, the student teacher in Mrs. Gaines' class roast some pumpkin seeds in an electric skillet. We have to be careful!
I am not sure how many seeds are in the pumpkin. This is what the kids think.
We guessed how big around the pumpkin was.
I am checking the map where Mrs. Gaines' class keeps track of where all the mascots are. I think they have it right.
I don't know about eating these pumpkin seeds. They are not in my diet! We read a book about manatees and dugongs and it didn't say we eat pumpkin seeds! But, the kids liked them.
