I was on the edge, I could hear the constant chant of do it man, do it from the people down below me. My toes were creeping over the cold rough surface. As I looked down, everything was quite blurred but I could still see what was waiting for me at the bottom. The blazingf hot sun was glaring down at me, I felt like I was in the desert. I could feel the cold heavy air whistling around me. Suddenly I realised it was now ar never. I bent my knees slightly leaning forward, spread my arms wide and leapt into the cold crisp air. Even though I was falling down, down, down, I could still see the look of awe on the spectatos's faces, finally I hit the rippling, clear water and sank lower. I gave a quick kick with my legs and floated to the top of the pool. As my head popped up out of the water I heard the loud applause of the crowd . Two weeks later with my olympic medal in my hand and certificate on my wall I realised, what would have happened if I didn't jump that day.
