Celebrity Death Wishes

Elenore Roosevelt: Wished that upon announcement of death, all her major veins be severed to eliminate any chance of being buried alive.

Harry Houdini: Wanted to be buried in his trick coffin with letters from his mother tucked under his head.

Andrew Johnson: Asked to be wrapped up in an American flag and have a copy of the constitution tucked beneath his head.

P.T. Barnum: He didn't want his name to die, so he offered his grandson Clinton Seeley, $25,000 if, upon Barnum's death, Seeley change his middle name to Barnum. Seeley did.

Janis Joplin: Asked friends to throw her a farewell party when she died at her favourite pub, and financed it with $2500.

Albert Einstein: No one knows his last wishes, but he did say something to a nurse in German. She couldn't understand him.
