About Me

My name is Fayaz A. and The Lego Central is my primary spare-time project. I started with Legos at a very young age and have been building ever since.

My interests are Lego, astronomy, reading philosophy and creative writing, as well as creating web sites.

Favorite sport: Definitely soccer, then tennis.
I was born right here in Canada, in the lovely city of Montreal. That's right, I speak French. Actually, its my first language. Right now, I live in Toronto.

About the site

The Lego central was not always the way it is now. The truth is my first web site was an astronomy web site. Without much success, I recreated the astronomy site a second time, then got bored and created it a third time. I then realized that even if I love astronomy, I always loved Legos.

So I created a Lego web site... named "My Lego Web Site". Sure, it was new, and I didn't know what to put on it, so I crammed it with Javascript rollovers and image effects. That took way too long to load; it needed change... My Lego Web site #2 was published on February 21st, 1999. That was a big success. I can remember the first few emails I got from visitors who commented on the site.

And last year, on July 1st, 1999; I created another Lego web site. This time, it was named "The Lego Central". I can't remember where I got the name from, but that too, was a big success.

And here is "My Lego Web Site" #4, uploaded February 21st, 2000. (<- Notice the date? The Lego Central's Anniversary). I created this fourth Lego site because my computer died (litterally) and I lost everything. I re-downloaded it entirely from the internet, but it could have been an omen... and here we are, version four.
