ITHILIEN, Middle Earth— And the hits just keep on coming. The Dom-Land Caribou finished up a disappointing road trip with a disappointing 2-0 loss to the Ithilien Rangers. Their record is now 4-3-0.

"Gaaaaaaahhhhhhh...," said Gimli. The 'Bou defence-dwarf had taken a puck off the helmet earlier in the evening and was having more trouble than usual articulating his irritation.

"Very clangy," said Merry.

"Gaaaaaaahhhhhhh...," said Gimli.

In fact, 'gaaaaaaahhhhhhh' pretty much summed up the Caribou's play for most of the game.

"We never really got the motor going," said Legolas.

"I thought the bus was okay now," said Pippin who immediately began to panic as the threat of more boredom loomed. The hobbit began to hyperventilate and make little squeaky noises until the caterer arrived with snacks. He then proceded to consume the entire cookie tray.

Even Boromir, who usually manages to antagonize his younger brother, seemed unusually subdued.

"Well, Dad's visiting at his place right now," said Boromir, "I thought that was punishment enough."

The Ranger captain took that opportunity to score the Ithilien goals, both on the power play.

"I got a quick feed off the boards," Faramir said, "and had a screen, both times." He then had to leave the press conference early to run interference back home. Apparently, Eowyn is planning to feed her father-in-law some Iron Chef-inspired experimental cuisine.

"We're not just talking family strife," Faramir said as he left the room, "we're talking international incident."

Only Gandalf seemed on his game although he allowed the two goals. Considering his team allowed 46 shots, he had to be. Apparently, Sam's pie peace offering (no pun intended...okay maybe a little) had mollified the 'Bou netminder enough to get him back on the bus for the ride home.

"Mmmmm," said Gandalf. "Pie."

The 'Bou head back to the Merry-Go-Round...Rink...Thing Where a Penguin Plays a Banjo to face the still yet unnamed Hobbit team.
