DOM-LAND, Middle-Earth— Oops. Due to scheduling mix ups, the Caribou played an unexpected double-header with the Fighting Uruk-Hai and the Ithilien Rangers.

"Who's the freak driving this bus?" complained Merry.

Nevertheless, the 'Bou managed to bang out a 3-2 win against the Uruk-Hai and a 2-2 tie against the Rangers.

"Yay," said Frodo, who is still unhappy about the Gollum situation, but not unhappy enough to score the gamewinning goal in the Uruk-Hai matchup.

"Apparently, a little adversity can do wonders," said Gandalf, who is still "recuperating."

"Oh, shut up and ice your knee," said Frodo.

The rest of the 'Bou had good games as well. Legolas chipped in the other two goals against the Uruk-Hai and assisted on Boromir and Aragorn's goals against the Rangers.

The Uruk-Hai Thigh Appreciation Society was out in force, cheering for their favorite sets of thighs. Much to the chagrin of Uruk-Hai head coach Saruman, his team seems permanantly distracted by their...puckbunnies.

"They're almost as loud as your groupies, Legolas," said Boromir.

"Whatever, Bubba," said Legolas, echoing the favorite nickname of the Boromir Lives! fanclub led by Lobelia Sackville-Baggins.

"We're trying to get dad to call him Bubba too," said Faramir who assisted on both Ranger goals.

"You're cold," said Boromir.

Gollum, still drowning in his equipment, made 43 saves between the two games. His natural reflexes served him well, leading to some rather twisty catches and bendy blocks.

"He's contorty," said Pippin who in a magnanamous gesture gave Frodo his second Icee in an effort to ungruntle the former ringbearer. Frodo refuses to talk to or about the Gollum situation, and Gollum is sedated.

Next up for the 'Bou is someone.

Notes: It's kinda sad to say this, but this is the last season of the Dom-Land Caribou. The well is pretty dry, and I've got quite a few projects (well, two big ones) that have been on the back burner for two years now. There will be a shortened regular season, a postseason, the Harry Potter exhibition game (J.K. be good to me, please!) and then that's it folks. I'll try to put up the things you've sent me in the next few weeks. Thank you for all your emails and messages. It's been fun.
