Chobits Story Review

Hideki, [one of the main characters of the show] always wanted a persocon but he was too poor to afford one so he couldn’t get one... until one day after cram school, he was walking home after buying a disk and he found Chii by the trash. It seemed that Chii was thrown away so Hideki carried her home, she was also unexpectedly heavy! At home he wanted to know how to turn Chii on so he searched everywhere for the button. (And soon he found out that the switch was down you know where). So after Chii was turned on, her bandages all came off and she radiated a brilliant white light and was just sitting there with nothing on! So Hideki got her a bathrobe to wear first. Then Hideki found out all Chii could say was “Chii” so he named her Chii. After that, Hideki's friend came in and invited him over to take a dip in the hot springs but Hideki couldn't because Chii was using his bathrobe and he didn't want to leave her alone in his apartment. He had to hide her too so he sat in an awkward way and Chii copied whatever Hideki did. Chii didn't have any real clothes to wear so Hideki's friend lent her some of her dresses after everyone knew Hideki finally had his own persocon. But much later, it just so happened that Chii needed some panties but she didn’t have any and Hideki couldn’t just rush in and ask for panties at the womens department store, so he told Chii to get some herself...with the help of Sumomo. (friend's persocon). Hideki needed to find a job really badly in order to support Chii and himself (pay rents, food, etc) and he did find a job, at this little cafe. So now Hideki had to come back home late at night everyday. When he finally got his first pay check, he quickly went to the book store to buy a dictionary because he needed it for cram school exams. (He also brought Chii with him). He noticed that Chii was interested in a book and she would be disappointed if she didn’t have the book so Hideki bought her the book instead of the dictionary that he needed. At night when Chii was reading the book while Hideki was washing the dishes, she started to glow when she read the part about "the one". The next morning when Hideki woke up, he noticed that Chii wasn't feeling very well so when he went to cram school he asked his friend what they thought was wrong and his friend told him that Chii wasn't sick but her batteries were running out and he needed to recharge her. So right after Hideki came back home at night, he found Chii lying on the floor and he quickly rushed in and plugged the cord and tried to recharge her. But it consumed too much power to recharge Chii, so the power went out and Chii still wasn't charged so Hideki carried her out to find a friend that could help him charge her. (While Chii was growing weaker and weaker). He couldn't find anyone since his friend was out...then he bumped into the landlady of his apartment and she helped him recharge Chii. Hideki was so glad that she helped him out but now he had to pay the rent and the electricity bill (which was extremely high because he tried to recharge Chii!) and he didn’t have enough money for that so Chii wanted to help him out and went to find a job while Hideki was in cram school. The first job Chii found wasn't a good one...she had to go to this night club and strip on stage for people’s enjoyment and entertainment… :S but luckily Hideki came and rescued her. Then she found a job in the sweets shop and she earned some money and guess what Chii bought Hideki (lol)...a porno magazine :S lol...After that Hideki wanted to know more about Chii so he brought her to a guy who knew a lot about persocons and he was told that Chii wasn't an ordinary persocon but a Chobits. (Chobits are very rare and strange persocons). As time passed, Hideki began to love Chii more and more, and he also taught her many more things. Much later on, Hideki and his friends went to the beach and of course he brought Chii along and they were swimming but then Hideki didn’t know how to swim so he nearly drowned but Chii jumped in and saved him (weird eh?). Soon after that, when Hideki was in cram school, Chii found out that there was another persocon just like her...Black Chii and she knew all about Chii's past. Black Chii's spirit was actually living inside of Chii and she sort of helped protect Chii from other persocons and perverted guys. So one time, she made Chii float outside and she started glow a brilliant white light. But Hideki found out and quickly saved her. And because of that, some guy name Dragonfly found out about Chii and Chobits and was curious about it so he kidnapped Chii and plugged her with all his other persocons and his computer to find out more about her. Then he got all perverted and touched Chii down there… And that was when Black Chii made her move, she released this powerful beam of light and blasted the guy and left him hurt in the corner of the room because he wasn't "the one" for Chii. She only lets "the one" for her to touch her (Hideki). Soon Dragonfly was caught by Hideki and his friend and blackmailed him to help them with their Chobits research, and Chii returned safely home back to Hideki. Then Black Chii came back and she took over Chii's body and Chii's spirit went somewhere else....and Black Chii went out back to where her "father" was because when she and Chii was created, Black Chii loved her father and she wasn't supposed to. So they were thrown away, and Chii's real name was Eruya and Black Chii's real name is Eruda. And so when Black Chii took over her, she went back to her "mother" where her mother has this "master computer" to destroy her. But for some reason, it wasn't powerful enough because Black Chii already took over all the persocons. And so Black Chii wanted her mother to erase all her memory (practically destroyed) and what about Chii? Well she found out she needed Hideki and she cried...(a persocon crying real tears....) so right after Black Chii was gone Chii went back to her own body and stayed back with Hideki, they were finally able to be with each other.
