Naruto - Story Review Part 1

The story starts off with an evil creature called the Demon Fox which attacks the leaf village, one of the greatest ninjas of all time, the fourth hokage who is from the leaf village bravely sacrifices his life to destroy the evil monster, he had to seal the spirit of the demon fox in a new-born baby, his name is Naruto. The fourth hokage had a wish before he died, he wished for the people of the village to treat Naruto as a hero and respect him. Sadly, everyone treated him like he was the actual demon fox, so he had no friends. He grew up as an orphan, he was a very good boy who was very energetic, but he pulled a lot of pranks on his teachers and fellow classmates, (which I think is very funny!). Because of the fact that nobody respected him and treated him badly, Naruto decided to prove to everyone that he wasn’t just a piece of trash, he wanted attention and acknowledgement that he was actually a great ninja, so his ambition was to become the fifth hokage of the leaf village (hokage by the way is the most highly skilled ninja in a certain village; the head of the village and known throughout the ninja countries for his greatness). The academies in this world basically taught them to be good ninjas, in my opinion I think it is very hard, the teachers are so picky! At these academies, the students study and learn ninjutsu (ninjutsu is a seal created by their hands in order to do a spell, such as cloning someone, making multiple copies of themselves, summoning elemental weapons (fire, water, etc) to defeat their enemies, and many more). Unfortunately, Naruto received the worst marks in the academy and failed the graduation exam. He was supposed to do a ninjutsu that made an identical clone of himself, but instead he created a useless/dead illusion that couldn’t even move ( *_* ) LOL… sadly that particular skill was his worst skill. A little later in the day, another teacher by the name of Mizuki tricked Naruto into stealing the secret scroll of forbidden seals which contained many forbidden (and really cool) seals. Naruto’s teacher, Umino Iruka tried to get the scroll back from Naruto, because the seals were not to be revealed to Naruto, but too bad Naruto already looked inside and learned one of the seals… Mizuki also returned to try and kill Naruto for the scroll, but unfortunately Naruto used the new seal he learned, called Cage Bunshin Nojutsu where he creates thousands of shadow clones which beat the crap out of Mizuki! Meanwhile, Iruka witnessed the whole thing and let Naruto graduate because of his amazing ninjutsu skill. From that moment on, Naruto and his teacher became great friends, because Iruka was one of the very few people who respected Naruto for who he was and didn’t treat him badly like many others did. After graduating from the ninja academy, Naruto and all the rest of the graduates were put into groups of three. Naruto was with Uchiha Sasuke (the most popular guy at the academy who many girls like, he is the number one student with the highest marks. He is also very silent and does not like many things, he especially despises the girls who like him because he thinks of them as “annoying”…) and Haruno Sakura (a girl with a big forehead and also the smartest one in the entire village, Naruto has a crush on her but she hates Naruto and likes Sasuke instead). Hatake Kakashi was the jounin instructor who prepared the genin test for his three students: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura (genin is a low-class ninja, the lowest rank to actually have the title of “ninja”). Kakashi was a very strict instructor, he has never passed a single student to become a genin because his tests were so difficult. His number one rule in being a ninja was simply teamwork, because his past students didn’t care about their companions and just ditched them and only cared for themselves, they failed. So, Naruto’s team was the first three students ever passing Kakashi’s genin test. Afterwards, the team had to do minor missions such as: helping villagers with their gardens, since they were merely genins, none of the missions were exciting. Until one day, they received a very high-ranking mission, to escort a man who was to build a bridge for his village. Also, a super-strong, evil ninja was after him, trying to kill him… this is one of the best parts in the story, if you want to find out what happens to the team and what experiences they get and what kind of people they fought, then you should watch the anime! So after the team makes it back to the village much later, they had to start the chuuin selection exam (chuuin is the next level of ninja, also the same rank as Iruka, Naruto’s teacher :p). The exam is extremely difficult, where people have actually died from. The first part of the exam was to do a written exam with very difficult questions that an average genin could not answer from their own knowledge, it was to test their ability to gather information without anyone noticing, because CHEATING WAS NOT ALLOWED! If they were caught cheating then they instantly fail the exam, anyhow it all didn’t matter because the last question (oral question) decided whether or not they would pass. The question was if they wanted to continue on but answer the question wrong, then they would not ever have a second chance to retake the exam again, the second option was to quit right away and fail so they at least have another try next year. A lot of people quit right away (no gutz!) so they failed, the people who chose to stay instantly passed the first part of the exam :D. The second part of the exam was much harder though, the students had to survive in a forest for 5 days, where dangerous creatures lurked and where students had to fight other students to complete their task, and also… killing was permitted… It was also during the second part of the exam where a new evil arises, even somewhat superior to Kakashi (a jounin, ranked second of the entire village for his ninja skills). Watch and find out! So, 5 days later they started the third part of the exam where the remaining genins had to battle each other and win in order to pass the third part. So far that’s all I’ve watched...
