Con sus 365 metros de altura, la Torre de la Televisión, que fue construida en 1965-69, domina al antiguo centro de Berlín oriental y sobresale entre las torres de la Iglesia de María (Marienkirche), del Ayuntamiento Rojo (Rotes Rathaus), de la "Stadthaus" y de la Iglesa San Nicolás (Nicolaikirche) (de izqda. a dcha).

Al otro lado de la estación de tren se encuentra la Alexanderplatz con la torre del Hotel Forum. Las primeras edificaciones marcados por el concepto socialista de la arquitectura urbana son la "Haus des Lehrers" con su vecina la "Kongresshalle" y el colorido "Bauchbinde", de Walter Womacka.

Mit seinen 365 Metern Höhe dominiert der 1965-69 errichtete Fernsehturm das einstige Zentrum Ost-Berlins und überragt die Türme der Marienkirche, des Roten Rathauses, des Stadthauses und der Nicolai-Kirche (von links).

Jenseits des S-Bahnhofs der Alexanderplatz mit dem Turm des Forum-Hotels. Den Auftakt zur sozialistischen Stadtbebauung bildet das ehemalige "Haus des Lehrers" mit der benachbarten Kongresshalle und der bunten Bauchbinde von Walter Womacka.

Links kann man den Verlauf der am Strausberger Platz beginnenden alten Karl-Marx-Allee (einst Stalinallee) verfolgen. In der Mitte die Bahngleise mit dem Ostbahnhof und rechts die Spree mit Oberbaumbrücke und den "Treptowers" im Hintergrund.

Avec une hauteur de 365 mètres, la Tour de televisión érigéé dans les années 1965 à 1969 domine l´anciene centre de Berlin-Est de dépasse largement les tours de la Marienkirche, du Rotes Rathaus, de la Stadthaus et de la Nicolai-Kirche (de gauche à droit).

De l´autre côté de la station de S-Bahn se trouve l´Alexanderplatz avec la tour de l´hôtel Forum. Le premier bâtiment de l´ensemble architectural socialiste est l´ancienne Haus des Lehrers avec la Kongresshalle voisin et la ceinture multicolore de Walter Womacka.
