About this FAQ

The Series 7 FAQ first appeared in September 1999 at epoc.dial.pipex.com and remained there until March 2000 when it was moved to this Geocities server. The first page put up here was intended purely as a temporary measure to allow people to continue to view the FAQ (without the rest of the old site's contents) until a proper home was found. A re-designed site was made and was due to go online in May 2000 however due to various reasons the site was put back until September, by which time a lot had been added including dynamic content and interactive sections. Unfortunately, two unrelated 'incidents' led to data loss and a few MB of web content dissapeared!

After that it was a while before another attempt at a site was made, but just when it was taking shape, the web host decided to wipe the entire account for absolutely no f'ing reason! If you're considering a reliable Cold Fusion host, beware if they claim to be Creating a better Coldfusion powered Web, one site @ a time. They didn't even reply to my complaint let alone several previous Emails sent to tech support throughout the year...

Anyway, they're just a couple of reasons why the Series 7 pages haven't had a major re-write since February 2000 and are so out of date in places. All the photo's taken in 1999 are still here so maybe one day they'll be scanned again and the rest of the site will be updated. At the moment that seems as likely as an update to the Series 7 itself!.. unless Psion Digital do manage a return of the Jedi ;)
