Colors
When I see
red,
I think about a rose.
When I see
purple,
I think about balloons.
When I see
white,
I think about angels.
When I see
blue,
I think about the sky.
When I see
yellow,
I think about bananas.

Lion
Lion, lion
why do you like to eat meat?
Is it because you want to have a feast?
Lion, lion
why do you like to chase animals?
Is it because you like to play tag?
Lion, lion
why do you like to be called king of the jungle?
Is it because you want everyone to feel scared?
Lion,
lion I also want to know who helps you brush your hair.

My Mother
My mother
is a beautiful angel
She is as gentle as a pup
When I fall she always picks me up
My mother’s hair is as soft as the finest silk
Her skin is as white as snow
Her lips are red like roses
Her teeth are as perfect as pearls
And her eyes are two diamonds with the most beautiful glow!
I love my mother for these reasons and much more
I love her so much
And she also loves me!

Autumn
In autumn
when the trees turn brown
I like to walk all through the town
I like to see the birds fly south
Some worms still in their mouths

The Storm
The storm flashes in the sky.
Making noises as the clouds go by.
Dripping rain from on high,
with lighting you can die.
Thunder sounds like a boom,
So I go to my room.

FED UP
FED UP-
Was what she was
Getting no credit for the hard work in school
Sacrificing her time to organizations
Trying to impress her parents
She had no time for friends.
FED UP-
Was what she was
Always put down at school
Never being accepted.
Parents impressed with other kids intelligence
But never impressed with hers.
FED UP-
Was what she was
Always feeling down and never being smart enough,
Or just plain dumb
She thought she could never be accepted by
This disturbed deceitful place
Never able to make her own decisions
Looking in the mirror with eyes full of tears
She asks herself why,
Why me?
FED UP-
Was what she was
Full of anger and frustration she holds it all inside
And before she goes to bed,
She cries, cries, cries.
With no eagerness to live
One day she takes her life
Thinking maybe the world is better off without her.

The
Deep Blue Ocean
The
brilliant blue ocean
calm
As green grass
On an open field
Waits for humans
To dive
In
And take a swim
Fish
swimming
searching
While the water
Waves at midnight
Swoosh!
At sunrise
All sea creatures awake
Dolphins conferring
About the oceans gossip
Big blue
whales
swim, shooting water
up
Into the sky
A school of fish
swerving
past a coral reef
That’s
what I see
In the deep blue ocean
past all the stress free
Paradise.

A Simple Smile,
A Scream Inside
There is
so much that no one knows,
So much that no one sees
About the way it feels inside of me.
Maybe it’s
that they don’t look,
Or the fact that don’t show,
Either way, there are things inside
That no one seems to know.
I want to
show people,
And I want everyone to see
All my thoughts and ideas
That flow inside of me.
Maybe
people haven’t noticed,
Or maybe they don’t dare
To find out who I am
To show me that you really care.
I’m
screaming on the inside
A smile is what you see,
But I’m not content with the person I seem to be.
There is a
different girl on the inside
That I can’t seem to show,
But maybe if you took the time,
That person you could know.

Friends
Friends,
Friends
They are cool
They never tell a lie.
I can assure you
They are very nice.
They make
you laugh
When you are lonely or sad
They may make you angry
When they do something bad.
They are
like your family
United and loving
Laughing and crying
Together with you.
Friends
are the most valuable things
That exists on the world
So please don’t miss the chance
On finding a friend for you.
Remember,
friends are like a plant
That will never stop growing
With a fair amount of
Love, Respect, and Trust.
So this is
what
Friends mean.
Go ahead find some
Wonderful friends like
The ones I have.

Rock Climbing
Rock
climbing is fun,
My heart beats with fear,
I can barely hear,
It turns my stomach into a knot,
Should I go on?
I feel
like I’m about to cry,
I can feel the sweat running down my spine,
I can move no longer,
My legs are shaking,
My hands are aching,
Should I go on?
Rocks are
falling down,
It is blazing hot,
Just breathing is a feat,
My gear is slipping off,
Should I go on?
But when I
get to the top,
I feel very strong,
Not scared anymore,
Finally I’m victorious!
Oh no!
Time to go down.

My Fear
My most
frightful fears chase me;
They chase me into the night;
Through the forest, through the trees.
They’re
still there; they’re still in sight;
Still, I tell myself to run;
So I flee with all my might.
They chase
me, to them it’s fun;
Laughing, stalking, in this chase;
I look eastward. Where’s the sun?
I am tired
of this race;
I meet my fear, face to face.
They
vanish, now I can’t see;
It was a dream, silly me!
I turn, I see a shadow;
It moves outside my window.
I only see
the field, clear;
Was it a dream, or my fear?

Love
Love is a
powerful thing
Many people contain it very deep inside of their heart.
It could tear many people apart piece by piece.
It’s an uncontrollable thing.
Some people might think they don’t really know that love is
controlling them.
Love is the thing that makes you feel a tingle deep inside of
your tummy.
I’m probably sure that you feel this when you see the girl of
your dreams.

At Any Cost... I Can
Gliding
through the sky
Seeing things that aren’t so close,
Non-stop speed, doing anything at any cost...because I can,
Wind, pushing through my wet silky feathers,
Flapping as hard as possible,
Thinking the unthinkable,
Seeing the impossible,
Doing anything at any cost because,
I’m strong, proud, and I Can!!

Nature’s Beauty
The birds
are singing,
the grass is green.
The
flowers are blooming more beautiful
than I have ever seen.
The bees
are busy, buzzing,
from flower to flower.
Waiting in
the west
is a soft spring shower.
The
morning sun peeks over the mountain
big and bright, the colors purple, orange, and pink
make a majestic sight.
The
vegetables grow from head to toe
in a straight line from row to row.
The sun is
going down,
and the moon is almost out.
Now it’s
time for slumber and rest,
so Nature’s Beauty can look its best.

Transition From 1st to 2nd
As I walk
to my next class
done with chemistry and molecular mass
Now it is time for art
the walk is far I need a go-kart
I walk to
the locker room to grab my book
but can not leave before giving myself a look
I look ugly, my hair needs a cut
I really want a barbeque corn nut
The walk
is unpleasant it is way too cold
I hope my sandwich doesn’t have mold
I really should have snagged my sweater
it would have made this walk so much better
I start to
wonder if I should ditch
because my teacher is such a mean lady
Wait a minute that line does not rhyme
Who cares I’m done with poetry, at least for this time

Columbia’s Last Flight
Racing
into the unknown sky
To bravely meet the universe
They’ll fly and soar across the sky
They await their unknown fate
Raining
down
Faithful stars
Here below,
Tears fall
And we
will wait
To meet our heroes
Angles in heaven
Together we’ll fly and soar across the sky.

El Corazón
Sólo soy
un músculo en tu cuerpo,
y estoy en tí más que tu pensamiento.
Yo tengo un sentimiento de dolor,
más fuerte que el mismo viento.
Yo también
sufro,
no te digo que no,
lo que te duele a tí,
me duele peor a mí.

First Kiss
He gets
near my face,
I’m in his strong, yet warm embrace
I feel my heart beating faster
I’m a nervous disaster
his breath is so sweet
I feel a warm tingle from my head to my feet
then, suddenly, his luscious lips meet mine
everything is frozen in time
I can’t explain what I’m feeling
I feel my emotions soaring through the ceiling
What is this emotion?
It’s as if I drank some sort of love potion
Oh God, what is this?
Oh, I know, this is my first kiss.
