STAFFORD COUNTY
Fire, Rescue and
Emergency Services
Stafford has 10 fire departments, 10 rescue squads ( including Fredericksburg City)
running about 18-20,000 calls a year, serving an area of 277 square miles.
Currently we work 10 hour shifts and some are on-call 24/7, most of us are
permanantly assigned to one station, a few other rotate around the county.
This is a little insight to the two main stations I run at, Falmouth and Brooke
Stafford has numerous Engines, Wagons and Medic units. 1 platform tower
1 ladder truck, 3 Heavy Squads, 1 Haz-Mat truck, 2 suppression boats, 3 zodiacs
2 tankers, IR Thermal imaging and other specialty items.
Needless to say, we are prepared to handle any emergency coming our way.
There will be more pictures of other units as soon as I get them.
