As a college student, I have learned how perseverance plays an important role in how far I will get, not only in my work and in class, but also in my relations and hobbies. By being able to manage my own self, I have discovered that I am able to do things that I previously thought were too hard or against my immediate desires.

Strengths
I set my own personal values at a very high standard; as such there rarely is a doubt in whether I uphold my ideals in integrity and achieving a balance in life. My strongest point in managing my own self is that I have a high affinity towards commitment. Whenever I set myself out on a task, I always do my best to complete it not only on time, but also with the highest quality achievable with my skills. By being able to focus my goals, I am usually able to accomplish tasks before most people have barely begun. As a Buddhist, I always have believed that harmony is an important aspect in maintaining a balanced life. By modifying the teachings for modern society, I am able to keep my work schedule scaled evenly with my hobbies and interests. From upholding these values, I have found my life being more enriched and discovered a newfound respect for my own personal being.

Weaknesses
One of the faults that I always try to avoid is that I am easily distracted. When working on my own personal computer, I would occasionally find myself playing video games for too long after deciding to take a small break from my task. Not only that, once I get my mind in the mindset of something else that I find interesting, I would almost lose all sense of motivation for the previous task at hand. While I have learned a few methods to prevent myself from staying in such a mode for too long, the temptation of the distraction always presents itself as a looming disaster. As such, while I am able to be very self-motivating, I have also found myself being a big source of distraction.
