What to bring so I don't freeze to death

First I would like to point out that I am not your mother or boy scout leader, so there won't be any checklists that include toothbrush, comb, etc.  I think at this point in your life you probably know that unless you want some raunchy breath, it is advisable to bring a tooth brush (and for some of you, some Scope).  I won't insult your intelligence like that.  However, there are some things that are a little different with regards to temperature on the mountain.  I'll come right out and say it - it's damn cold.  No problem though.  I'm going to hook you up with everything you need to stay warm.  We'll call it "Eric's don't freeze to death checklist."  Let's start with the head and move down.

1. Knit hat (like those worn by people who have just killed somebody, or popular rappers)  Note: You can wear a ski mask, but we will all make fun of you.  Just kidding, whatever keeps you warm.

2. Might be a good idea to wear a scarf or a turtleneck.  Please no ties.

3. Several layers of clothing (undershirt, turtleneck, sweater, jacket, parachu....nevermind)

4. You will need some "ski" outer garments - Should be warm, but not restrictive in movement.  Most importantly it should be at least water resistant and should be waterproof.  Trust me, if you are wet you will be miserable.  You can rent these things at the resort fairly cheap though.

5. Gloves or mittens?  I guess this is a preference thing.  It doesn't really matter.  Whatever feels comfortable.  They should fit rather tightly though, because you will be strapping on and removing your bindings frequently.  Most important they should be waterproof.  If you don't buy anything else for this trip, PLEASE buy a pair of good snowboard gloves.  Some of them have built in wrist guards which is not a bad idea, because you will fall quite a bit.

6. Might be a good idea to buy a pair of long johns or thermal underwear, if you wear underwear.  Once again an issue of preference, but it can get a little cold.  Also might be a good idea to bring a pair of pajamas as the heating system takes a while to warm up.

7.  Bring several pairs of socks.  This is the one thing that will definitely get wet, so bring several changes.  Wool socks will be fine too.

8. If you care to do a lot of walking around the resort, you might want to bring a pair of water resistant boots or galoshes.  You can live without the luxury, but it will be more comfortable with them.

9. Anything else you want to bring, I'll leave up to your imagination.  Just don't get me fired OK?  No blow up dolls please!  I know Korea can get lonely, but DAMN.

Ok, I guess that's it.  If you're from Colorado, Toronto, or some equally cold place, please feel free to email me with anything that I may have left out and I will amend my checklist......maybe
