Da Pump is a J-pop band from the Okinawa Acting school, a school that produced any other famous performers like Speed and Namie Amuro. They work with hip-hop and rap music, but what's the most fascinating about their style is how is mixes in jazz and other brilliant sound techniques that are unusually appealing in this genre. Aside from that, these boys are BRILLIANT dancers and stage personalities. Recently I've heard that they're beginning the acting thing, too, but that isn't surprising: if you're famous singer in Japan, it automatically means you can act, and vice-versa. The group members are Issa Hentona, Ken Okumoto, Yukinari Tamaki and Shinobu Miyara. Issa is the main singer and has an amazing and versatile voice. Of interest, they're all winter boys, having their birthdays all in the cold season. Take a look at the profiles if you're interested.

We're still researching beginning information and history, but we have here the profiles of the group members and two of our favourite songs on MP3. If you have any other great information, we'd be ever so appreciative! It seems to difficult to find any information on this band since there are very few well-developed pages out there and those that are, are in Japanese and I can't read kanji!! ^.^;

I'm kind of pissed off about the pop-up box, but so far they're still the best provider we've found.
