Doumoto Kouichi (pictured left)
Kouichi was born on January 1, 1979 in Osaka, Japan, making him a Capricorn. He is known as the quieter or more serious of the group, which isn't all that debatable. He wears much more serious, professional clothes than Tsuyoshi and has a much more "ganbaru" (??) attitude while working. (For that reason we have attempted to show more smiling pictures when we can, of him ^_^;) Kouichi's personality is very serious, cool and dedicated, and it's sometimes too obvious in concerts that he's concentrating more than performing. Recently since the release of the D album (this page was posted in January 2001) and the new drama filming, I can imagine how stressed he's become. Gosh, Kou-chan! Relax!! He doesn't particularly like sports, but plays baseball. He claims his hobbies are sleeping, reading comics (Shounen Jump) and he's good at writing and science. His favourite colours are red and black and he doesn't seem to have a very high opinion of himself. He should, though, because Kouichi writes much of the music that the Kinki Kids play. In addition to that, during interviews, it is he, and actually not Tsuyoshi, who makes the interviewers around him laugh. He's also the better actor of the two. He has many licenses and degrees in various talents and has an affinity for racing, especially Porsche. He's said in interviews before that if he hadn't gone into acting, he would have wanted to work with cars. Kouichi is definitely my favourite of the Kinki Kids. ^_^
 Doumoto Tsuyoshi (pictured Right)
Tsuyoshi was born on April 10, 1979 in Nara. Tsuyoshi I think isn't as good looking as Kouichi, but he's much more adorable in personality. He's very athletic and funny and actually the more musically talented of the two: he has the better voice. On the other hand, though he tends to be depicted as the funnier one, he has the "star" aura. That is, when he's in interviews, he gives the "right" answers and keeps a poker face. He's always smiling in pictures but looks kind of silly I think, but that makes him cute to a lot of people I guess. He plays a lot of sports: basketball, snowboarding, rollerblading and the sort, and is very active on stage. He also likes video games and comics, especially Dragonball Z. His favourite colours are Blue, black and white, which is odd because in pictures I usually see Kouichi in blue and him in a brighter yellow or orange. Of interest, one of Tsuyoshi's best friends is Jun from V6 (but that's just for you J-pop fans to understand. ^_^) Tsuyoshi is really devoted to music, though, and when asked what else he wanted to be he waited a long time and thought, saying, "I dunno... perhaps a designer?" He is definately a true artist.
