Dramas are an integral part of life in Japan. Most of them deal with some cute romance story (since romance and physical relationships are NOT acceptable presentation material in public everyday life, they mean a little more to the viewers than in most western countries.) so even if they are REALLY good, they are still lumpable into one big category of romance drama. But not all of them are like that. Not so well known in Japan is the drama Tenshi ga Kieta Machi or, in English, "The town from where the angels disappeared". This page is dedicated to that Japanese drama.
The story, different from your average romance, is based loosely on the American film "Rain Man", in which a rather hard-hearted, financially struggling man is suddenly presented with the care of an autistic sibling. In this case the main actors are Doumoto Kouichi and Fuji Fumiya, both of which are brilliant actors and bring to life striking characters. The acting is uncommonly good quality for dramas, so we have to applaud the apparent sincerity of it.
If it is known by teenagers in Japan, it's for the actors, most of whom are rather famous. Sometimes the actors are everything. Some of our favorite drama actors are Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, Doumoto Kouichi, Fuji Fumiya, and Takuya Kimura. (Maybe we'll do pages for them later.) Below is a small collection of Tenshi ga Kieta Machi information. We encourage you to see it for yourself, and if you need help finding it, don't hesitate to contact us.

These are the pages we have (or are working on) regarding this drama. If they are linked, they are available, and if not, well, guess what, they're not.

We are currently looking for someone who'd be willing to do script translation. We can do it, but it's tedious work and being none of us are native Japanese speakers, our translations would be scratchy. In return for your work, we will send you a copy of the entire series, and other benefits are negotiable. If you are interested in helping, please contact us at Clockwork_Blue@hotmail.com. Thank you!

I'm kind of pissed off about the pop up box, but so far they're still the best provider we've found.
