About us...
We started on April 1998 with only 6 employees, ande we owe them our development. Nowadays with 30 active employees, the Catta EGM has concession on emerald mines located at Carnaíba, 450km away from Salvador-BA, Brazil.
This region has grown in a progressive scale since the early 60's when was first discovered the territory's mineral richness (emeralds, gold, aquamarine, chrome, quartz and other minerals are found in this area).
At present Carnaíba has 18.000 inhabitants, most of them imigrants due to the great boom of the mineral exploration of the region.
Our companhy works with modern technology, including competent engineers on emerald exploration.
Not only does Catta EGM explore emeralds at their natural source, but we also make them available to interested persons to acquire them, cut or uncut stones.
We have the advantage of having no middlemen, therefore offering stones within all qualities with competitive prices on the external market.
The "carnaíba emeralds", as the most rare and top quality samples found at the area are called, are largely known in Brazil and chosen by noble and fine jewelry throughout the world.
