I
have been a member of the Andes Group Inc. since 1993. My
interest in the development of the leather Industry in Australia
lead me to read a submission made by the Andes Group called " A Vision
for the Leather Industry". At that time I was involved in the farming
of the Australian Emus flightless native bird in which leather was one
of its products.
The desire to learn more about Latin America both culturally and in a business sense lead me to become a member of The Andes Group Inc. I see the benefits in the work of The Andes Group in understanding another culture, language, people the flow on from this is an appreciation and respect for other races |
Responsibilities | As
treasurer of the organisation I have the responsibility to take care of
the books of the organisation. Since my incorporation I has been involved
in marketing and networking with industries, especially in the leather
industry. I strongly support the Spanish program, Spanish in Action and
the cross cultural activities support by the Group in Western Australia.
Among this is the Family Festival: Other Places, Other Lives: WA One.
hold by the Libraries of the Stirling Council in Western
Australia in November 1987 to promote multicultural activities in the community.
