The largest palace was the E Pang Palace which is located in the Southwest of the present Xi’an. It was estimated that the reception hall alone could hold 10,000 people. Therefore, it is not surprising that Emperor Qin Shi Huang had a whole army of terracotta warriors and treasures buried with him when he passed away.
