If you're here, something exciting must be happening in your life. Most likely, you're engaged! How exhilarating! I still remember with dear fondness the night Jason got down on one knee and asked me that lovely question. Then, after a few whirlwind exciting days of sharing the news and just experiencing the giddiness of it all, I realized that I had to plan a wedding! Maybe, though, you have an anniversary coming up or want to give a special birthday party to your spouse, parent, best friend.
Whatever the event, I can help!
Through planning my own wedding and working for years as an event coordinator, I am personally familiar with the ins, outs, wheres and whyfors of planning an event. I am also familiar with the particular challenges of planning a nontraditional event, particularly a nontraditional wedding. My own wedding was at the Kansas City Zoo overlooking the African Serengeti exhibit. There are a hundred books on planning a traditional wedding, another two dozen event planners who are intimately familiar with how to do it, and gobs of locations in Kansas City in which to pull it off. But what about the road less taken? Today's brides are already busy enough in their "real lives" without having to forfeit their lives in order to plan the nontraditional wedding of their dreams.
That's where I come in! My focus is on the nontraditional! Whether it's a wedding, birthday party, retirement party or "just because" party, I can help you design the event that fits what YOU want, not what tradition dictates. Want to incorporate some tradition in your event? Don't worry. I know the traditions. I have read and continue to read and research all the wedding and event information I can find. My belief is that you have to know what the traditions are in order to break them.
