"There's something almost magical about music."
It's when you hear a song and think "That's It", "That's Perfect", "There's no better way to explain it." It's then, it's that connection that allows you to be able to recreate and reflect on a moment and even better, to relate with someone else. It's when someone writes the words you just couldn't quite get out and shows the same exhausting passion and intensity that you felt but were unable to let show. "It's real! It's realistic!"

On the ends of creating such an encounter by way of originality in music stand Michael Halcomb and Michael Holt. The simplistic yet creative acoustic duo, who are basically singing what you've thought and felt; who are causing that "I've been there" moment; who are showing that while a picture is worth a thousand words, it really only takes a few good words to paint a wonderful picture.

"Our music and lyrics stem from many of the different situations we've both faced." From thoughts on adversity in songs like "Fall Away" or moments of loneliness in "From Atlanta", to that In-Love experience portrayed in the emo-ish song "Hey Night", and the intensity in searching for God in the uniquely wound song "Choices and the Aftermath".

"Our music is a glimpse into who we are and it stems greatly into focusing how  God has used certain situations and people to shape our lives. We want our  music to be a reflection, a mirror of where and who we are in Christ. We tend to emphasize a lot on the relational aspects of our lives, so you can grow from our  experiences as well." "I heard an older man once say, "summer after summer when we're young we  rededicate our lives to Christ, summer after summer we realize that we've fallen away and are way off track since the previous dedication. But, when you're my  age you will wake up and realize that you need to rededicate your life everyday."  And so with that said we give an explanation of our name. The name "Everyday New" makes way for our mission statement which traces it's  roots back to 2nd Corinthians 5:17:
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ He is a new creation; the old has gone, the new
has come."

Ultimately, it is there, in that seemingly magical newness that can only be found in  Christ, where we want to, and want our music to be able to take you!!
