It all began in mid-February. My OAC (Ontario's grade thirteen) Writer's Craft teacher assigned us to write a Rick Mercer (from This Hour Has 22 Minutes) style rant on the topic of our choice. I chose politics, and found the Bill Clinton pardon story to be irresistable. I enjoyed writing Don't Let Grandpa Near the Ammo to no end, so when it came time to choose our Independent Study Project topics, I couldn't resist.
Thus, Everything You've Done Wrong (the title was inspired by my favourite Sloan song) was born in mid-March, 2001, as a series Rick Mercer style political rants. Initially I wanted to videotape the rants, but I figured a web site was more practical. My goal is to write at least twenty by the begining of June, which means I'll have to strive for three per week. However, I will only write a rant if a news story catches my eye, I will not write a rant for its own sake.
Anyways, I plan on continuing with Everything You've Done Wrong after I'm finished the project, but most likely at a rate of one per week.
Enjoy!
