FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SPRING HILL, FLORIDA, December 30, 1999 -- Write On Magazine, Florida's
premiere online literary magazine, makes its debut on the World Wide Web at: http://www.writeonmag.com.
We hope to share with our readers each month a selection of the world's
finest works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry as well as to showcase the
work of new authors and to provide an extensive listing of writers' resources.
Our objective is also to give Florida writers organizations a presence on
the World Wide Web.
Writers and poets are cordially invited to publish their work on the internet
via our exciting new electronic publication. Write
On Magazine is seeking short manuscripts (fiction, non-fiction and poetry)
along with related photographs and artwork. A headshot and bio of the author
is also requested. Writers will not be paid for publication of manuscripts,
however we offer the opportunity for worldwide exposure for a period of
several months (including the current issue and back issues). Please see
submission guidelines.
As a service for book authors, Write On Magazine offers The
Book Mart where, for a nominal fee, writers can market their work worldwide,
complete with scanned art, description of the book, photo and bio of the
author, optional first chapter and information on how to order. Books by
new and unknown authors are of special interest, as well as self-published
books and those published by small literary presses.
Write On Magazine will feature a writing contest each month with
numerous giveaways and prizes called A Mouse Tale,
regular columns by noted writers, interviews with top Florida authors, coverage
of Florida writers' conferences, News & Events,
with information about writers groups and events from around the world,
E-Mail Exchange section where writers can correspond
with others to obtain information and interviews, and links to more than
200 resource sites for writers and journalists, Favorite
Places, Hot Links.
Future components of the web site include a job bank/networking service
where writers, artists and designers can display resumes and samples of
their work as well as an online discussion group/chat room featuring special
guest authors and use of videoconferencing technology to bring special events
live to our audience on the internet.
