There is no television; no frantic pace. Just the sound of
swishing palms and a marvelous cooling late afternoon-evening shower followed
by palette skies of clear aqua and rose to match blue-green shimmering water
through your room window or while seated on a
bench at the dock.
Rochelle L. Holt writes the "Panache" monthly column
for
Gulf Coast Woman in Fort Myers, Florida where she has lived the past two
years. Published annually since 1970, her most recent titles include: Riverwoman
on Fire, 30-minute one-side cassette (1996), 3 Southwest Mysteries
collaboration with her mother Olga G. Holt and
Tree of Life duet with Marie Asner.
A traveller since colic infancy, she is never more at peace than when she
is on the road
