This
summer we went to Poacher international camp in Lincolnshire. I was very
excited, as this was my first international camp, for some of the older
guides it was their second.
When we arrived, after a longing boring journey, we put the tents up in
the pouring rain. Luckily it didn't continue too much through out the
week! At Poacher there were many different activities and something for
everyone. These included abseiling, water pistols, air rifles, amateur
radio, craft, competitions, night hikes, pioneering, circus skills, BMX
biking and potted sports.
During the evenings there was still plenty to do. There were discos,
magic shows, films, murder mystery evenings, entertainers and a chance to
meet lots of scouts!!
At the end of the week none of us really felt like going, but after an
amazing closing ceremony we had to go.
