On a rainy Sunday, after church parade, we left the church and walked to the bank near the motorway. On they way we stopping to look at a tree that had been plated by former guides including one of our present guiders!
After a short talk about the conservation work being done and a demonstration of how best to plant the saplings we began. It turned out to be much more difficult that it looked and the soil was full of clay.
We spent an enjoyable couple of hours planting approximately 14 trees but then it was time to leave. Covered in mud we were picked up by are parents and went home to a well deserved bath.
